Convert Music

If you have music on CD that you would like to email to EndZone Productions, Inc for use in your video production, here's what you need to do:

1 Download AudioGrabber and WAV To MP3

2. Install both programs

3. Insert The CD with the music you want into your CD ROM drive
(ensure you know the track number(s) of the song(s) you want)

4. Launch AudioGrabber and under Settings, click General Settings

5. In the General Settings dialog box:
      a. By clicking the Browse button, set the directory to store the files in C:\
(changing this to your C Drive makes it easy to find the file)
      b. If you have two CD ROM drives, ensure the drive that your disk is in is selected

6. Click OK

7. The AudioGrabber main window should like like the following screen-shot

8. Click the "Freedb" icon (the penguin).  It will attempt to identify the CD you have.  (If it does not, don't worry)

9. Check the track(s) (song(s)) you would like to copy

10. Click the Grab button

11. After your songs have been grabbed, close AudioGrabber

12. Go to your C: Drive and find the track(s) you just copied.  Rename it to something more understandable such as Beatles - Yesterday (this only needs to be done if 'Freedb' did not identify your CD).

13. Launch WAV to MP3

14. Click Options then Change Encoding Properties.  Ensure the encoding properties match the screen-shot below and click OK

15. Click the Add button and go to your C: Drive, find the file(s), select them and click OK

16. Click the Output button and select the C: Drive and click OK

17. Click the Encode button.  Your song(s) are now being converted to MP3

18. After your song(s) have been converted to MP3, close WAV to MP3 and, using My Computer,  go to your C: Drive.

19. You should see two of each of the song(s) you want to email.  Delete the original song(s) you grabbed using AudioGrabber.  It will end in .WAV.  If you do not see the .WAV at the end of the song(s) title, delete the file with the larger filesize of the two.  It is important that you DO NOT SEND the original file by email because it will be too large.

20. Launch your email service (we use Outlook Express) or just click mason@photosalive.com
      a. Click the Attach button, go to your C: drive and select the song(s) you would like to send us.

21. Click OK

22. If you did not click the email link above, mail to: mason@photosalive.com  In the Subject line, include your name.  In the body, include song information and any additional project information.

23. Click Send.  We will respond within 24 hours to notify you if the song was received.
